Agartala, Tripura, 4th of January, 2025 : With The Initiative of All Tripura Blind association World Braille Day celebrated at Agartala Press Club on Saturday (4th January, 2025). In the presence of many distinguished dignitaries Hon’ble Governor of Tripura Indrasena Reddy Nallu inaugurated the event by lighting the ceremonial Lamp.
Addressing the participant the Governor said that World Braille Day is celebrated with the aim of enabling the specially abled to develop their latent talents. The State Government is implementing various schemes for the welfare of specially abled persons. For the welfare of the differently abled, the State Government has launched the ‘Tripura State Disabilities (Divyangjan) Empowerment Policy’ in 2024.
Mithun Saha, Secretary of All Tripura Blind Association, delivered the welcome speech on the occasion. Governor handed over certificates to the students of Blind School who passed the Madhyamik and Higher Secondary examinations. Students of the Institute of Empowerment of Persons performed music and dance at the event.
Amidst The Distinguished Dignitaries there Were West Tripura District Magistrate Dr. Vishal Kumar, seniors officials and many others dignitaries were remained present in the celebration ceremony.
