West Bengal Education Minister Bratya Basu, Law Minister Moloy Ghatak, and Trinamool Congress (TMC) trade union chief and former MP Ritabrata Banerjee arrived in Agartala on Wednesday (28th July, 2021) and met the research team of poll strategist Prashant Kishor’s Indian Political Action Committee (I-PAC).
Address in Press Conference West Bengal Education Minister Bratya Basu, “Prashant Kishor’s Indian Political Action Committee (I-PAC) were detained by the Tripura police at their hotel, citing COVID-19 restrictions and the I-PAC workers were not allowed to leave the hotel after the corona report came negative. We have come here to hold organizational meetings and meet our activists”. Bratya Basu also said “this organization goes on to conduct political surveys in different states. But such problems did not occur in any of their states. No intelligence or lizards have been deployed behind the agency to conduct surveys in any state”. Law Minister Moloy Ghatak said “After results of the elections were announced several party offices were set on fire, many people were killed. We are here to meet our supporters”.
