Visiting Students From Manipur Interact With Tripura Governor Under National Integration Tour, Organized By Assam Rifles.

Agartala, Tripura/Manipur, 3rd of September, 2024 : Students as part of the National Integration Tour organized by Assam Rifles interacted with Shri N. Indrasena Reddy, Governor of Tripura at Raj Bhavan today. At least 35 students from various remote schools in Jiribam district of Manipur are participating in the National Integration Tour, organized by the Assam Rifles.

During the meet, the Governor of Tripura encouraged the students to remain dedicated to education and explore opportunities to achieve their dreams. The Governor interacted with students and answered their queries on various topics, said a statement issued by the Assam Rifles. It stated that the experience of interaction with the Governor made a lasting impression on young minds. Senior officials from Assam Rifles in Agartala welcomed the students to explore the beautiful state of Tripura. Students, thereafter, visited Ujjayanta Palace and were made aware about its historical importance.  

According to the statement, the tour, spanning over a period of nine days till September 11, was flagged off from Assam Rifles Headquarters at Srikona, Assam on 02 Sep 24. A total of 16 boys and 19 girl students from classes 8th to 10th hailing from various communities along with their teachers are part of the tour. During the tour, students will be visiting various places of cultural and educational significance at Agartala, Shillong, Guwahati and Tezpur.

The National Integration Tour is aimed to broaden the horizons of young students of remote areas by giving them an opportunity to visit different places and gain knowledge about various cultures. The integration tour is being conducted as part of Operation Sadbhavna to give better educational opportunities to students from remote areas. The tour also aims to boost the spirit of patriotism and national pride amongst the participants.
