Agartala, Tripura, 11th of August, 2024 : With the initiative of Journalists Recreation Club Corporate Cricket Tournament has been organized at Bholagiri Cricket Ground in Agartala on Sunday (11th August, 2024).

Unity Gastro & Liver Hospital became the Champion in Corporate Cricket Tournament. ICFAI University team won the runners. Unity Gastro & Liver Hospital defeated ICFAI University by 6 wickets in the final match of the two-day tournament at the Bholagiri Cricket Ground.

The player of the match was awarded to Deep Raj Deb of the winning team. Earlier in the first semi-final ICFAI University defeated All India Punjab National Bank Officers Association by 29 runs and in the second semi-final Unity Gastro & Liver Hospital defeated Tripura Gramin Bank by seven wickets to face each other in the final. Uday Kumar Deb and Asim Deb won the player of the match titles in the two semi-finals respectively.

Best Bowler Debtanu Paul, Best Batsman Abhik Deb, Best Fielder Tutan Rudra Paul and Best Player of the Tournament were awarded to Asim Sarkar in this year’s event. On behalf of the organizers, the guests were felicitated with medals for each player of the Champion and Runners-up team and the guests were felicitated along with umpires Arjun Debbarma, Sanjit Das, Satyajit Kar, Meghdhan Deb and Bapan Das.

DIG Crime Branch Krishnendu Chakraborty, Agartala Press Club President Jayanta Bhattacharjee, Abhijit Bhattacharjee, Chairman and Principal of School of Science, Eminent businessman Rupam Roy, Dr. Amitabha Roy, Dr. Ranabir Roy, TNGCL Officer Prashant Dutta were present at the at the end of the final match. The present guests distributed the prizes to the Champion, Runners team today. President Suprabhat Debnath and Secretary Abhishek Dey thanked the all concerned players, umpires and sponsors of all the teams for making the tournament a great success due to the efforts of every members of the JRC.
