The IG of Tripura sector CRPF has interacted with the two youths who are doing extraordinary task. He has motivated the duo for their expected goal and assured them for any kind of essential assistance. As per the report, two enthusiastic young men have determined to cover all 28 states of India on foot and they have planed to do this in 3 years! Ajitesh Sharma, age 26 years and Saurabh Dewangan, age 25 years started on this herculean journey on 7th October 2011 from Raipur Chhattisgarh. 321 days since inception, the duo has covered 9 states, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, West Bengal, Sikkim, Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur and Mizoram. When they were asked why they are travelling on foot the unassuming men gave a very thought provoking answer. Their message, “Burn calories, not fuel”.
On their journey, they have interacted with different cultures and people as they spread the message of healthy living while saving the environment. They keep delivering pep talks and motivating speech to School, College students and villagers. Their chance encounter with Ravideep Singh Sahi, IG, Tripura Sector, CRPF in Agartala resulted in a fruitful and interactive session at Conference hall, Sector headquarters, CRPF, where in the two youths were invited to speak to the CRPF Officers. The IG wished them well and highlighted how inspired he was by them. Further, he promised them that CRPF was with them to give any required support during their journey, at any place in India they need such help. There is no doubt that their initiative is vigorous but it is most youth inspiring too.
