Agartala, Tripura, 11th of August, 2024 : On Sunday, Techno India University, Tripura, held a grand felicitation ceremony at Rajarshi Town Hall in Udaipur to honor the meritorious students of Gomati district who excelled in the Higher Secondary Examination in Tripura. The event underscored the pride that Techno India Group takes in its students, recognizing them as the future of the nation and the pride of Tripura. The ceremony was graced by the presence of several distinguished guests, including the Minister of Finance, Government of Tripura, Shri Pranajit Singha Roy, the Chairperson of Udaipur Municipal Council, Shri Shital Chandra Majumder, the Vice-Chancellor of Techno India University, Tripura, Prof. (Dr.) Ratan Kumar Saha, and the Acting District Education Officer, Shri Bikash Nath, along with other officials from the university.
The ceremony was inaugurated with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the Finance Minister of Tripura and other invited guests. In his address, Shri Pranajit Singha Roy emphasized that such felicitation ceremonies inspire students and motivate them to pursue higher education. He mentioned that the students have a long journey ahead of them, and the future of the nation will be shaped by these young minds who will contribute to the country and society.
Commending Techno India Group for its initiative, he further stated that when private universities like Techno India step forward, it benefits the students, offering them the opportunity to pursue higher education within the state. Under the guidance of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and the leadership of the Chief Minister of Tripura, Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha, the state government is making every effort to ensure that the students of Tripura can pursue higher education within the state.
Techno India University, Tripura, has introduced various courses in the past year to offer higher education in diverse fields, reducing the need for students to move outside the state. If preferred courses are not available, students may still need to go elsewhere. However, Techno India University, Tripura, will soon introduce additional courses to meet the demands of the students.
During the ceremony, the Chairperson of Udaipur Municipal Council, Shri Shital Chandra Majumder, mentioned that Techno India Group’s initiative to establish an education hub in the state will greatly benefit the students of Tripura.
The event commenced with a speech by the Vice-Chancellor of Techno India University, Tripura, Prof. (Dr.) Ratan Kumar Saha, who highlighted that Techno India Group has been working in the field of education for the past 40 years. He mentioned that the university was established with the aim of implementing the National Education Policy 2020. The university currently offers seven schools with unique courses that were previously unavailable in the state.
In this District Merit Felicitation Ceremony, 124 meritorious students from various schools in the Gomati district who excelled in the Higher Secondary Examination were honored. Additionally, 11 teachers from different schools in the district were also felicitated for their outstanding contributions to education. The event concluded with a cultural program performed by the students.
