Khowai, Tripura, 25th of August, 2024 : Many people have been affected by the flood. They have lost everything from their homes to their pets, furniture and daily essentials. In the current situation, the flood affected people have no earning. On Sunday, Brihannala Society extended a helping hand to the flood-affected areas of Charganaki, Jamira village, Ajgar Tilla and other flood-affected areas of Khowai sub-division.
Tripura Brihannala Society in the afternoon on this day, handed over essential items such as rice, pulses, soybeans, potatoes, salt, milk to the hands of nearly two hundred flood-affected families. Besides, a prominent businessman of Dev Brothers, Jayachandra Gope also extended a helping hand over essential items flood victims.
Interacting with the media member of Tripura Brihannala Society Mousumi Dey said that the present situation in Tripura is almost dire. Everyone should stand by the flood affected people in this situation. We Brihannala survive with help from humans throughout the year. In the present situation, when common people are in dire straits, we are also trying to do something by standing beside them. Thus, the people affected by ordinary floods are benefited in this difficult time. Moreover, relief materials are being distributed in various areas of the state, including Agartala, Jirania Khowai, on behalf of our Tripura Brihannala organization.
The leadership of Tripura Brihannala organization namely Moushumi Dey and Payal Saha, prominent businessmen of the area Jayachandra Gupta, booth president of the area Prashant Chakraborty and many others were present during the distribution of relief items on this day.
