Teliamura, 4th of June, 2024 : Once again, road accident was occurred here at Baishgaria area under Teliamura police station on Tuesday (4th June, 2024) around 2:30 p.m. According to the details of the incident, two youths named Dilip Das and Arjun Sarkar from Golabari area under Teliamura police station were going to Baishgaria from Teliamura via Dasmighat by E-Rickshaw (Tom-Tom). Suddenly, the E-Rickshaw overturned with a loud crash on the railing of the Baishgaria bridge. Dilip Das and Arjun Sarkar were seriously injured in the E-Rickshaw (Tom-Tom). Both of them were hit in the head.
Locals witnessed the incident and informed the Teliamura fire brigade personnel over this occurrence. The fire service personnel arrived on the spot and immediately picked up him in bloody condition and brought him to Teliamura Sub-divisional Hospital. After being brought to the hospital, the doctor on duty declared Dilip Das dead.
On the other hand, since the condition of Arjun Sarkar is critical, he was referred to Agartala GB Hospital for better treatment, said the doctor on duty. Meanwhile, according to local sources, this accident may be caused by driving E-Rickshaw (Tom-Tom) while under the influence of alcohol.
