Border Security Force is organising series of events to mark the 50^th year of Independence of Bangladesh and to highlight the contribution made by BSF is 1971 Bangladesh Liberation War.

BSF Tripura Frontier IG Sushanta Nath said this BSF-BGB Maitree Football Match Series are going to be organised in all Six Frontiers of Eastern Command BSF, during coming months. Football is the most popular sport in the entire Eastern and North Eastern part of India as well as in Bangladesh and such events on the border will further boost the spirit of sportsmanship and confidence among the border populace on both sides of the International Boundary.

The First such “Football Maitree Match” of this series will be conducted on 18^th March 2021 at Brijendra Kishor Football Stadium, Belonia, District South Tripura.

The Second Match will be conducted by BSF South Bengal Frontier at Berhampore, District Murshidabad. West Bengal on 26^th March 2021 on the Independence Day of Bangladesh.

The Third Football Match will be conducted by BSF Frontier Mizoram & Cachar (M&C) at Karimganj Town on 03^rd April 2021.

The Fourth Football Match will be conducted by BSF North Bengal Frontier at Sonamati on 14^th April 2021 on the occasion of Bangla New Year.

The Fifth Football Match will be conducted by BSF Meghalaya Frontier at Tura on 24^th April 2021.

The sixth & Concluding Match will be conducted by BSF Guwahati Frontier at Dhubri on 01^st May 2021.

Dog Shows, Band Display and other events are being organized to make it more vibrant & interesting.
