Amarpur, Tripura, 29th Of December 2024 : With the initiative of Food & Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs dept. in collaboration with dept. of Agriculture & Farmer Welfare 2 day long paddy procurement programme has been initiated here in Ampi Nagar mini stadium under Ampi Nagar block in Gomati Tripura today. On this occasion many concerned departmental officials have arrived here in the programme venue.
In the presence of many distinguished dignitaries Ampi 41 constituency MLA Pathanlal Jamatia has inaugurated the programme. To provide MSP for paddy to farmers the concerned authorities had declared for government procurement across the state and in that facts 29th to 30 December 2024 has been fixed for Ampi. So large number of farmers from 22 VCs have gathered today here in the paddy procurement centre with their paddy sacks. The concerned departmental officials have collected large quantity of paddy through their technical inspection and quality justification. As per the report, per kg paddy cost is 23 rupees and per mann 920 rupees. To have like favourable paddy price local farmers were found glad. Sources said, the government has taken this generous initiative to provide benefit to local paddy producers and to sustain motivation Amidst farmers.
Among the other participants there were Sindhu Chandra Jamatia, Ampi Nagar BAC chairman, Ashim Kalai, Ampi kishan morcha president, Sukumar Shill, kishan morcha district president, Pranab Das, food inspector, Nibash Debbarma, SA Ampi and many others remained present in the programme.
