With the initiative of the RIPSAT (Regional Institute of Pharmaceutical Science & Technology) a mega health camp has been organized here in Tentui Bari High School under Ampi Nagar block in Gomati Tripura today. On this occasion a large number of Jamatia villagers have gathered here in the medical camp to avail free treatment facility. To handle the medical camp two medical teams from Agartala and Ampi CHC have taken active participation in the camp. Creating of appropriate prescription by checking physical check up as well as test of blood, sugar, pressure etc free medicines have been distributed amidst the local patients.
A section of medical college students have also taken participation in the health camp. They have displayed a drama to generate awareness amidst the local villagers. Addressing the villagers P.K Jamatia has narrated over the destructive drugs utility amidst the indigenous youngsters which is a great obstacle for the social progress. She said that health is wealth and we must be careful for our new generation. Amidst the other distinguished participants Ampi BJP Mandal president Shibnath Jamatia, general secretary Prasanta Saha, RIPSAT officials and also there were indigenous community leaders from Kalai, Jamatia, Reang etc remained present in the programme.
