Agartala, Tripura, 25th of December 2024 : With the initiative of officers of various departments Good Governance Day observed at Pragna Bhavan, Agartala, Tripura on Wednesday (25th December, 2024). In the presence of many distinguished dignitaries Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha has inaugurated the programme by lighting the ceremonial lamp.

Addressing at the Observance of Good Governance Day Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha said, the goal of good governance is to transparently deliver the government’s public welfare projects and services to the last person in the marginalized areas of the society. The State Government is working with utmost importance on good governance for public welfare. With this aim, the opportunities of various projects and services of the central and State Governments are being delivered to the people of the marginalized areas in a transparent manner. The Chief Minister said that the administration in the state is being made people-oriented so that the people can get all the facilities of the administration easily and transparently.

Chief Minister also added that the birth anniversary of late former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee is being observed as Good Governance Day across the country today. He said, Atal Bihari Vajpayee was a famous politician, poet and writer. His contribution to India’s freedom struggle was also significant. Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s dream was to eradicate corruption from the country. With that aim, he took various initiatives to establish good governance in the country. Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee made tireless contributions to take India to the peak of progress. Today, by observing Good Governance Day, we pay tribute to him.

Secretary of Good Governance Department Kiran Gitte delivered the welcome speech on the occasion. Chief secretary J.K. Sinha also spoke on the occasion. State Director General of Police Amitabh Ranjan and senior officers of various sectors were present on the occasion.
