Agartala, Tripura, 25th of March 2025 : The much-anticipated NCC NER Annual Award Ceremony 2025 unfolded as a splendid celebration of excellence in the field of National Cadet Corps (NCC) at the prestigious Banikanta Kakoti Auditorium in Guwahati, Assam. The event witnessed an august gathering of dignitaries, led by the esteemed Governor of Assam, Sri Laksman Prasad Acharya, alongside Smt. Nandita Garlosa, the Minister of Sports and Youth Welfare, Assam, and Maj General Gagan Deep, ADG North Eastern Region. The atmosphere was charged with enthusiasm and pride as several distinguished figures from the NCC fraternity graced the occasion, paying tribute to the relentless dedication, discipline, and remarkable achievements of the cadets, Associate NCC Officers and institutions across the North Eastern Region.

One of the most momentous highlights of the day was the outstanding recognition of the State of Tripura, which marked a significant milestone in its NCC journey. The State celebrated exceptional achievements as it received accolades for both individual and institutional excellence. Lt. Dr. Jekap Halm, Associate NCC Officer from GDC Kamalpur, was conferred with the prestigious title of Best ANO (Male) of Tripura. His contribution to shaping the future leaders of tomorrow through the NCC program was widely applauded. Adding to the accolades, Second Officer Gouri Paul, Associate NCC Officer of Reshambagan H.S. School, Agartala, was honoured with the coveted title of Best ANO (Female) of Tripura. Her dedication and exceptional leadership qualities have left an indelible mark on the young minds she has mentored.

The institutional awards were equally deserving of celebration. The Best College of Tripura was awarded to Bir Bikram Memorial College, Agartala, an institution that has shown remarkable dedication in fostering the spirit of discipline and leadership among its cadets and contribution towards society. The award was received by Lt. Tapanjyoti Malakar, Associate NCC Officer of BBMC and the Best School of Tripura award was presented to Paikhola H.S. School, Belonia, South Tripura. The award was graciously received by Second Officer Chandan Das, Associate NCC Officer and Sri Dilip Debnath, Principal of the school, whose leadership and vision have been integral in nurturing young cadets and guiding them towards excellence. Additionally, 13 Tripura BN NCC earned the esteemed recognition of securing the 4th place in the category of Best Unit under North Eastern Region NCC, a proud achievement for the entire unit and a testament to their dedication and hard work in upholding the values of NCC.
The NCC NER Annual Award Ceremony 2025 was a day that highlighted the spirit of camaraderie, discipline, and leadership. It not only honoured the deserving cadets, officers, and institutions but also served as an inspiration for future generations to embrace the values of service, commitment, and excellence. Behind the success of these officers and institutions, however, lay the silent sacrifice and unwavering hard work of Commanding Officer of 13 Tripura BN NCC Col. M. Rajasekhar, whose dedication and leadership played a pivotal role in shaping the achievements of the unit.
