Jalandhar MP Sushil Kumar Rinku And Jalandhar West MLA Sheetal Angural Joined The Bharatiya Janata Party.

New Delhi, 27th of March 2024 : Aam Aadmi Party’s MP from Jalandhar Lok Sabha constituency Sushil Kumar Rinku and MLA from Jalandhar West Sheetal Angural joined the Bharatiya Janata Party at the party’s headquarters in New Delhi, on Wednesday (27th March, 2024). During the event, Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri, BJP National General Secretary Vinod Tawde, Punjab BJP President Sunil Jakhar, BJP Media Co-Head Dr. Sanjay Mayukh were present.

Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri welcomed Sushil Kumar Rinku and Sheetal Angural into the BJP. Puri highlighted the inclusion of prominent personalities of diverse backgrounds into the BJP, from emphasized their collective contribution towards fulfilling PM Narendra Modi’s vision of ‘Viksit Bharat’. Puri noted developmental strides in states with BJP-led double-engine governments and pledged collective efforts in Punjab for ‘Viksit Bharat’ by 2047, terming it a democratic movement.

BJP National General Secretary Vinod Tawde mentioned that notable figures are joining the Bharatiya Janata Party because they hold faith in the leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his assurance towards the advancement of ‘Viksit Bharat’. Tawde highlighted the political backgrounds of Sushil Kumar and Sheetal Angural, mentioning their past affiliations with AAP. Tawde informed the BJP’s intent to contest elections solo in Punjab, asserting that the inclusion of these leaders will benefit the party.

Punjab BJP President Sunil Jakhar said that Rinku joined the AAP for the progress of his area, but he realized it was all in vain. Under the administration of AAP, Punjab was lagging behind in development, but now, through collective efforts, Punjab will become an integral part of ‘Viksit Bharat’.

Sushil Kumar Rinku mentioned that serving as an MP in the Lok Sabha had allowed him to work with Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah. Rinku expressed admiration for the developmental strategies of both Narendra Modi ji and Amit Shah. Rinku pledged to contribute to the journey of ‘Viksit Bharat’ under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the guidance of BJP National President Jagat Prakash Nadda.
