International Yoga Day-2024 Celebrated With Enthusiasm In Khowai.

Khowai, 21st of June, 2024 : On the occasion of the 10th International Yoga Day was held in every Assembly Constituency in Khowai district today (21st June, 2024). Tribal Welfare, Handloom, Handicrafts & Sericulture, Statistics Minister Bikash Debbarma in Krishnapur Assembly, MLA and Chief Whip of Tripura Legislative Assembly Kalyani Roy in Teliamura, MLA Pinaki Das Chowdhury in Kalyanpur, Samir Kumar Das in Ramchandra Ghat,  Jaydev Debbarma and Subrata Majumdar in Khowai Assembly and Binoy Debbarma in Asaram Bari Assembly led the programme.

About two hundred participants participated Yoga in the Yoga session at Community Hall, Ramchandraghat  Assembly Constituency today. Meanwhile, International Yoga Day organized by Khowai BJP Mandal at  Bhagat Singh Gymnasium Hall. Khowai BJP Mandal president Subrata Majumder, Zilla Parishad President Jaydeb Debbarma and many other remained present in the event. 

With the initiative of Khowai District Hospital 10th International Day of Yoga celebrated at Khowai District Hospital campus today at 11 am. Amidst the other distinguished dignitaries there were by Khowai District Health Officer Nirmal Sarkar, Medical Superintendent Mridul Das, doctors, nurses and officials of the health department participated in the yoga workshop.

District Health Officer Nirmam Sarkar discussed the relevance of yoga at the International Day of Yoga event. He said that various diseases can be cured through yoga. There are certain chronic diseases in particular that are relieved by yoga. Any patient can get better through yoga, so the hospital authorities appealed to Khowai to come and take yoga training at the Yoga Center of Khowai District Hospital. On this day, on the occasion of Yoga Day, a lot of enthusiasm and excitement was observed among people in Khowai.
