Border Security Force, Tripura organized Inter Frontier Handball Competition: 2022-23 at Salbagan, Agartala. Tournament from 09th Nov 2022 to 11th Nov 2022. 176 players from 11 Frontier teams participated in the event. Teams of BSF Frontiers both from Eastern & Western border, right from Kashmir to Tripura, actively participated in the tournament and shown true sportsmanship during the competition.
Final match was played between Kashmir Frontier and Jammu Frontier in which Kashmir Frontier defeated Jammu Frontier by 30-29.
Chief Guest Shri Sumit Sharan, IPS, IG, Frontier Headquarter Border Security Force, Tripura felicitated the winner and runners up team and handed over winner trophy to Kashmir Frontier team. Officials from state handball association of Tripura along with referee were also felicitated by the chief guest.
On the basis of the tournament, central team of BSF will be selected which will further represent BSF at national level.
A grand closing ceremony was organized at Salbagan, Agartala. The Chief Guest IG, Frontier Headquarter Border Security Force, Tripura congratulated all players of different Frontiers who participated in the tournament, lauded their efforts and motivated them to improve. At the end of closing ceremony, IG, Frontier HQ Tripura formally declared the Inter Frontier Handball Competition: 2022-23 closed.
Organizing such type of events will certainly create the atmosphere for sportsmanship and competitiveness among Seema Praharis.
