A dog rampage created a chaotic situation at Kalyanpur Motor Stand areas at about 1 pm on Sunday (8th January, 2023). As per the pre-punched schedule, ASHA and Anganwadi workers from vast areas of Kalyanpur gathered in Kalyanpur today to participate in one of their programme. After completing the program, when ASHA and Anganwadi workers were returning to their respective areas, suddenly a dog started biting anyone in the motor stand area.
A stampede started in no time, during which a farmer named Madhu Shil (35) of Dwarikapur village, Shailbala Das (55) of West Ghilatli, Anganwadi worker Shefali Das (42) of Bazar Colony village and ASHA worker of Ghilatli village Swapna Deb Pal were seriously injured by dog bites. (39). In no time other ASHA activists Anganwadi workers and common people gathered and rushed the injured to Kalyanpur Gramin Hospital for treatment. In this regard, the doctor in charge of Kalyanpur Hospital said that the necessary treatment of the whole incident is going on and there is no need to panic.
