Address in Press Conference Hon’ble Sports, Food, Civil Supplies Minister Manoj Kanti Deb, “To ensure food security, the state government has provided such as rice, pulses, flour, sugar, salt, etc. at very affordable prices through 233 Ration Shop in South Tripura District under the mass distribution system. This relief to the poorer section is being provided under the Pradhan Mantri Gareeb Kalyan Ann Yojana (PMGKAY). Chief Minister Covid Special Relief Package Scheme : No. 74,564 families, Chief Minister Covid Special food packets distributed in South Tripura district”.
Hon’ble Sports, Food, Civil Supplies Minister Manoj Kanti Deb also said, “Supportive price Purchase of paddy from farmer friends : The state government has procured a total of 72,955 metric tonnes of paddy from 42,154 farmers since 2018 with the aim of making them economically self-sufficient by providing price to the farmers of State. One Nation One Ration Card : Every month, 1500-1600 families in South Tripura district are collecting their dues from various ration shops outside residential area. Around 30,000-32,000 families across the State are availing the benefit every month”.
