Guwahati, Assam, 14th of June 2024 : Every year countries around the world celebrate World Blood Donor Day (WBDD). World Blood Donor Day (WBDD) is held on June 14 each year. The event serves to raise awareness of the need for safe blood and blood products and to thank voluntary, unpaid blood donors for their life-saving gifts of blood. A blood service that gives patients access to safe blood and blood products in sufficient quantity is a key component of an effective health system.
Hon’ble Chief Minister of Assam Himanta Biswa Sarma also took part in a blood donation event to raise awareness.
“Donating blood is one of the most noble deeds which a person can do. It saves lives and is the only hope for thousands of people who are dependent on good samaritans to live.
