Udaipur. Tripura, 13th of April 2025 : With the initiative of Jamatia Hoda committee organized 434th Garia Puja Festival and Kwthar Buisu Ter -2025 in collaboration with State Government at Pitra Kami Udaipur under Gomati District. In the presence of many distinguished dignitaries Hon’ble Governor Indrasena Reddy Nallu inaugurated 434th Garia Puja Festival.
Addressing at the inaugural ceremony of 434th Garia Puja Festival, Hon’ble Governor Indrasena Reddy Nallu said that Baba Garia is worshiped for 7 days. This Puja is performed by the tribal people of this state for happiness, peace and harmony. However, the Garia festival has become a universal festival with the devotional participation of people from all sections of the nation. The Governor also added that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, unprecedented work is being done for the development of the tribal communities of the country. In addition to preserving the culture, tradition and heritage of the tribal communities, the present State Government is working in collaboration with the central government for their overall development. The Governor also unveiled a memorial to Jamatiya Hada at the event.
Amidst the distinguished dignitaries participants there were Hon’ble Finance, Planning & Coordination, Information Technology Minister Pranajit Singha Roy, Chief executive member of Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council Purna Chandra Jamatia, MLA Ram Pada Jamatia, District Magistrate & Collector Tarit Kanti Chakma and many other dignitaries were present in the inauguration ceremony. The Governor and other guests also visited the exhibition stalls.
