Agartala, 29th of June, 2024 : With the initiative of Rotary Club Wheelchairs and Sewing Machines distribution programme has been organized at Agartala Press Club on Saturday (29th June, 2024). The moto of Rotary Club is service above self. Today the Rotary Club of Agartala organized a program to showcase their service for mankind. The Rotary Club distributed wheelchairs and Sewing Machines among specially-abled persons to poor families today. Under the leadership of president Rtn. Dr. Prabir Saha and Secretary Rtn Kisalaya Ghosh and all Respected Rotarians where present where at least 15 wheel chairs were distributed to the hospitals, college and individuals who needed it most. Likewise, for women empowerment 6 sewing machines were distributed to 3 different organisation’s where at least 6 women can now earn their bread.
Padma Shri Awardee Dipa Karmakar and presents guests handed over the wheelchairs and Sewing Machines to the amidst the beneficiaries on the occasion. President Rtn. Dr. Prabir Saha, Secretary Rtn Kisalaya Ghosh, Dronacharya Awardee Bisweswar Nandi, and many other dignitaries were present in the programme. Padma Shri Awardee Dipa Karmakar and Dronacharya Awardee Bisweswar Nandi, were conferred the Rotary badge and were declared as the honorary members of Rotary Club of Agartala.
