Sabroom, Tripura, 2nd December, 2024 : On Sunday, November 17, 2024, at approximately 5:00 PM, Sunil Chandra Dey (55) and Shankar Dey (30) residents of Madhyapara, West Jalefa Gram Panchayat under Sabroom Police station, suddenly got excited and went to Bimal Debnath’s house with rods and sticks in their hands. They attacked Bimal Debnath, threw him to the ground, hit him with rods and sticks, and attacked him.And this seriously injured Bimal Debnath’s right hand, back of the head, left leg and chest. Bimal Debnath’s mother Parul Debnath heard a scream and saw Sunil Chandra Dey and Shankar Dey throwing her son to the ground and beating him. When they tried to save their son, the father and son, known as anti-social elements in the area during the Left era, also beat up Parul Debnath, who was 18 years old.
Afterwards locals rushed rescued serious injured Bimal Debnath him and brought to Sabroom Subdivison Hospital. The doctor on duty critical condition seriously injured two of them referred to district Hospital.
Bimal Debnath’s mother Parul Debnath filed a written case with Sabroom Police Station on November 17, 2024, regarding this incident. A long time has passed, but the Sabroom Police Station has not arrested the two famous leftist anti-social elements and their son for questioning, let alone called them to the police station. The people of the ruling party in the Jalifa region are wondering why the Sabroom Police Station chief Babur has not taken any action against them yet.
