Agartala, 20th of July, 2024 : With the initiative of Agartala Press Club and Sports Committee Inter Sub-Divisional Press Club Football Tournament has been organized at Kshudiram Basu English Medium School ground to the old jail premises, Agartala on Saturday (20th July, 2024). In the presence of many dignitaries Hon’ble Youth Affairs & Sports, Social Welfare & Social Education Minister Tinku Roy has inaugurated the Inter Sub-Divisional Press Club Football Tournament today.
Addressing the opening ceremony Hon’ble Youth Affairs & Sports, Social Welfare & Social Education Minister Tinku Roy praised the initiative of Agartala Press Club and called for its regular continuation. He also assured the necessary cooperation at the Government level. The President of Agartala Press Club and present guests distributed the prizes to the Champion, Runners team today.
Dharmanagar Press Club champions in the Inter Sub-Divisional Press Club Football Tournament. Agartala Press Club won the runners up. Seven teams participated in the Inter Sub-Divisional Press Club Football Tournament. The official opening ceremony at 10 am. and the closing and prize distribution ceremony at 2:30 pm. Goalkeeper Suman Saha got the man of the match award in the final match. Champion Dharmanagar Press Club striker Rahul Goswami was awarded Player of the Tournament.
In today’s Inter Sub-Divisional Press Club Football Tournament apart from the Youth Affairs & Sports, Social Welfare & Social Education minister, Jayanta Bhattacharjee President of Agartala Press Club, Agartala Press Club Sports Committee convenor Abhishek Dey, Treasurer of Agartala Press Club Ranjan Roy, tournament sponsor Abhijit Saha, CEO of Swapnoneer Realtors, Senior journalist Suprabhat Debnath and many others remained present in the event.
