A devastating road accident was occurred here at Twichen village in Ampinagar block, Gomati Tripura on Teliamura-Amarpur road this morning. As per the report, two vehicles Bolero Maxi Truck bearing no- TR03G1716 of Ampi and other vehicle Eeco van bearing no- TR03Q0351 of Bampur have collided face to face at Twichen village in high speed condition and created this devastating accident. The Eeco van was over loaded with passengers. Sources said, total 14 passengers have been injured including one driver and among them 3 were critical. The local villagers and fire service personnel arrived on the spot and immediately picked them up in bloody condition and brought them to Ampi CHC where they were given medical treatment.
As per the hospital authority, 3 serious patients have been transferred to Udaipur sub-divisional hospital for better treatment. Due to speedy movement both the vehicles were damaged. Locals said that due to at a random manner vehicle driving tendency of some irresponsible drivers the general public are in danger; they are creating very uncertainty for the innocent passengers.
