Conference Organized By Khowai Sub-divisional Rubber Dealers’ Association.

Khowai, 24th of July, 2024 : With the initiative of Khowai Sub-divisional Rubber Dealers’ Association organized conference-2024 at Ashirbad Wedding Hall, Arabinda Park, Khowai on Wednesday (24th July, 2024). The main objective of the Rubber Dealers Association today was to form a new committee of the Khowai Rubber Dealers Association and some obstacles have been created for the Khowai rubber dealers to do rubber business. These obstacles have raised the question of continuing the business of the local rubber dealers of Khowai in the coming days.This important issue is discussed among the members of Dealer Association.

Today’s Dealers Association meeting was led by Rubber Dealers Association Central Committee Vice President Kalyan Debbarma and Rubber Dealers Central Committee Secretary Tamal Majumdar and others. Tamal Majumdar and Kalyan Debbarma, leaders of the Rubber Dealers Association, said that, dealers outside the state would mainly buy their rubber from the industrial cities of the state.

At present, outside the state dealers in Kerala, Delhi, Mumbai, and other places are buying land in remote areas of the state and investing billions of rupees to build smoke houses and buy rubber. This has made it difficult for local dealers in Khowai and the state to continue their business. It is clear that the farmers are getting some benefit but the result will not be good.Because the local dealers will not be able to continue their business like this for long and will be forced to close the rubber business in the near future. But then the dealers outside the state will buy rubber at their own rate. Farmers and those who have small rubber traders will suffer from this. It must be remembered that apart from the registered rubber dealers, there are a large number of small rubber traders in the state as well as Khowai whose livelihood depends on the sale and purchase of this rubber. The well-intentioned community feels that it is necessary to take appropriate measures to keep the whole issue, i.e. the local rubber dealers. Now it is to be seen how much the today’s meeting will yield to the Khowai rubber dealers and businessmen.
