Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha Attends “Accelerating 100 Day Campaign” On Tuberculosis.

Bishalgarh, Tripura, 9th of December, 2024 : With the initiative of Health and Family Welfare Department, Government of Tripura “Accelerating 100 day Campaign” on Tuberculosis has been organized at Town Hall, Bishalgarh on Monday (9th December, 2024). In the presence of many dignitaries Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha inaugurated the programme “Accelerating 100 day Campaign” by lighting the lamp.

Addressing the inaugural ceremony Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha said, to eradicate TB from the state forever, people from all sections of society, including ASHA and health workers, must come forward. The government, in collaboration with the central government, has taken various initiatives to improve the health infrastructure of the state. The Chief minister said this campaign has been launched to protect public health. The main objective of this campaign is to prevent TB disease. Tuberculosis (TB) is an infectious disease, which spreads widely if not treated on time. Timely detection of TB, eating nutritious food, taking necessary precautions and prompt treatment are the important things to be free from TB. Awareness is the biggest tool in preventing TB disease. At the event, the Chief Minister urged all concerned to recite the TB preventive oath at least once a week in every school and gram panchayat of the district, along with child marriage. He said that extensive initiatives have been taken to eliminate TB from the state.

Secretary of Health & Family Welfare Department Kiran Gitte delivered the welcome speech on the occasion.  Amidst the other distinguished dignitaries there were Sepahijala District Magistrate & Collector Dr. Siddharth Shiv Jaiswal,  Sepahijala Sepahijala Zilla Parishad Supriya Das Dutta, MLA Tafajjal Hossain, Chairperson of the Bishalgarh Municipal Council Anjan Purkayastha, State TB Officer Dr. Nupur Debbarma,  Sub-Divisional Magistrates (SDMs) for Bishalgarh, Sonamura, and Jampuijala in Sepahijala District, SDMs of BDOs of various blocks of Sepahijala District and many others dignitaries were remained present in the programme.
