Celebration Of Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas At Rabindra Satabarshiki Bhawan, Agartala.

Agartala, 15th of November 2023 : With the initiative of Information & Cultural Affairs Department Government of Tripura  celebrated the Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas at Rabindra Satabarshiki Bhawan, Agartala on Wednesday (15th November, 2023). In the presence of many dignitaries Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha inaugurated the programme by lighting the lamp.

“Prime Minister Narendra Modi was announced the observance of 15th November as Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas from 2021 with the aim of conveying the historical and cultural heritage of the people to the next generation. This day is celebrated as the birthday of Birsa Munda, popularly known as Bhagwan, the heroic leader of the nation in India’s freedom struggle”, Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha said at the birth anniversary ceremony of Bhagwan Birsa Munda. Along with this the Chief Minister also launched the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra and Good Governance 2.0 campaign developed in the state today.

Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra launched on Wednesday (15th November, 2023) to ensure benefits and services of various Government schemes for the people. Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi officially launched the programme from Jharkhand on the occasion of Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas celebrations. Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra is a mobile campaign vehicle carrying to disseminate the message and information of Government schemes and services. This Sankalp Yatra will come to an end on January 26, 2024.

Addressing at the celebration ceremony of the Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas the Chief Minister also added that Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra and Good Governance 2.0 campaign developed to reach the benefits of Government projects and services to the beneficiaries within a specified time frame. The present State Government is committed to ensuring the benefits of Government schemes and services to the deserving beneficiaries. Responding to the Prime Minister’s call of  Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, with the active participation of the States and Union Territories, the Government through its projects, sanitation facilities, essential financial services, LPG connections, housing for the poor, food security, proper nutrition, the Government is constantly working in mission mode to achieve the target of providing basic facilities such as reliable health services, clean drinking water, quality education etc.

Secretary of Information & Cultural Affairs Department Pradip Kumar Chakraborty, said that the three programmes namely Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas, Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra and Good Governance 2.0 campaign have been launched today by the initiative of the State Government. Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas will be celebrated day-long at Swami Vivekananda Ground, Agartala from today. On this occasion, various programs such as exhibition of products, produced by self-help groups, discussions, cultural programs have been organized. Apart from this, the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra and Good Governance 2.0 campaign will run simultaneously. A number of vans will travel across the state with posters containing information on various projects to people aware of various schemes of the Central and State Governments. The programme will be held in rural areas, panchayats and village committees, blocks,  each district of the state.

Hon’ble Power, Agriculture & Farmers’ Welfare Minister Ratan Lal Nath, Hon’ble Tribal Welfare, Handloom, Handicrafts & Sericulture, Statistics Minister Bikash Debbarma,  Hon’ble Tribal Welfare (TRP & PTG), Minorities Welfare Minister Sukla Charan Noatia, Chief Secretary J.K. Sinha, DGP Amitabh Ranjan, and many other dignitaries were present in the programme.
