Agartala, 6th of July 2024 : With the initiative of Information & Cultural Affairs Department Government of Tripura celebrated the Birth Anniversary of Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerjee at Rabindra Satabarshiki Bhawan, Agartala on Saturday (6th July, 2024). In the presence of many dignitaries Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha has inaugurated the programme by lighting the lamp.
Addressing at the celebration Birth Anniversary of Syama Prasad Mookerjee, Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha said, Bharat Kesari Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee was a politician, philosopher. He was one of the foremost politicians in opposition to partition. He sacrificed his life for the welfare of the country and its people.
“The present Central and State Government Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya, Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerjee are working in the guidance. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been working for the overall development of the country by maintaining transparency after taking over as Prime Minister in 2014. With the inspiration of the Prime Minister, Bharat Keshari is now popular across the country, celebrating Syama Prasad Mookerjee’s birth anniversary. The present generation was deprived of the life philosophy of such a patriotic thinker for special purposes during the previous government. The chief minister also said that all the problems that are present in our country are due to partition opposed the partition Syama Prasad Mookerjee. He was the Vice-Chancellor of Calcutta University at the age of 33. At that time this university was compared to Oxford University. Opposing the special status of the state of Jammu and Kashmir Shyama Prasad Mukherjee had to die.” the Chief Minister said.
The Chief Minister also added that, Tripura was the first state in India to launch e-office up to the panchayat level. It is a matter of pride. The Government is making continuous efforts to improve the socio-economic conditions of the people of the state. The Chief Minister Jan Aarogya Yojana has already been launched in the State. The benefits of which are available to the beneficiaries in all Government hospitals and Tripura Medical College in the State. Recently ILS Hospital has also been added to this programme. Gradually, various hospitals outside the state will also be included in the list of Chief Minister Jan Arogya Yojana. Efforts are being made to set up an AIIMS in the state.
Secretary of ICA Department Dr. Pradip Kumar Chakraborty delivered the welcome speech on the occasion. The 23 subdivisions of the state today Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerjee’s birth anniversary celebrated with discussions, quizzes and cultural programs. Director of Information & Cultural Affairs Department Bimbisar Bhattacharjee, Vice Chairman of the State Cultural Advisory Committee Subrata Chakraborty and many other dignitaries were present in the programme.
