Agartala, Tripura, 28th of October, 2024 : With the festival of lights and happiness, Deepawali, approaching near, the members of BSF Wives Welfare Association (BWWA) from Frontier Headquarter Border Security Force Agartala and 81 Battalion Border Security Force visited Nab Prantik Seva Ashram, Amtali at the suburb of Agartala and distributed rations, clothing and other items to the needy people on Monday. They also met with 85 residents comprising 25 children, 9 women and 51 elderly and mentally challenged people.
The objective of the visit was to interact with the people residing in the Ashram and understand the problem being faced by them, a statement from BSF said.. They members of the BWWA distributed rations, clothing and other items to the needy people.
On this occasion, the acting president of BWWA of Border Security Force Tripura, Smt Kamaljit Binji and the President of BWWA of 81 Battalion Border Security Force, Smt Anupriya Virnave were present along with other members of BWWA. The Patrons and all the dependents of the Ashram became emotional & wholeheartedly appreciated the work of the Border Security Force. They spent some time with Prahari families and expressed their hope for similar cooperation in the future.
