The dutiful endeavors are being made by the troops of BSF Tripura to curb the trans-border smuggling on the Indo-Bangladesh International Border in the State of Tripura. In series of Operations, Vigilant Bordermen foiled the smuggling bids and successfully seized 137 Kgs Ganja, 595 Himalaya Confido Tablets, 40 Bottles Phensedyl Syrup, 09 Bottles Liquor & assorted contraband items, besides recusing 02 Cattle having combined value of Rs. 28,26,258/-, during different operations.
In one such operation on 28th Oct 2021, acting on specific intelligence input, troops of Border Out Post Kalamchera along with BSF Canine Reena (Narcotic Expert) of 150 Bn BSF, Gokulnagar with officials of Customs Agartala carried out Special Search Operation in Village- Uttar Kalamchera, PS- Kalamchera, Sub Div- Sonamura, Distt- Sepahijala and successfully seized 05 plastic drums containing “137 Kgs Ganja worth Rs. 20,55,000/-” which were clandestinely stocked underneath the ground. The seized Ganja was handed over to Customs Agartala on the spot for further course of action.
BSF Tripura while safeguarding the extreme territorial limits of the country in Tripura State is regularly foiling such attempts being made by the trans-border criminals / smugglerson Indo-Bangladesh International Border.
