BSF Tripura is regularly neutralizing the nefarious designs of trans-border smugglers particularly by seizing the narcotics / contraband items & destroying illegal Ganja cultivation in the bordering regions of Tripura State. During various operations on Indo-Bangladesh International Border, BSF troops rescued 03 Cattle and successfully seized 320 Nos Yaba Tablets, 13.8 Kgs Ganja, 160 Bottles of Eskuf Syrup besides other contraband items having combined value of Rs. 14,47,875/-.
On 31st Oct 2021 (Evening), based on a specific intelligence input, vigilant BSF troops of Border Outpost Bachaibari, Ex-119 Bn BSF foiled a smuggling bid & seized 320Nos Yaba Tablets, which were clandestinely hidden in the bushes near border. The seized narcotics have been handed over to PS- Champahour, Sub Division- Khowai, District- Khowai (Tripura) for further course of action.
Similarly, on same night, vigilant BSF troops of Border Outpost Kalamchera, Ex-150 Bn BSF, Gokulnagar seized 42 Nos Poco M-2 Mobile Smartphones worth Rs. 5,03,958/- near Indo-Bangladesh International Border. The seized items have been handed over to Customs- Sonamura, Sub Division- Sonamura, District- Sepahijala (Tripura)for necessary action.
Beside above, on 31stOct 2021, based on specific intelligence input, BSF troops of Border Outpost Putia, Ex-150 Bn BSF, Gokulnagar during joint Operation with police party of Police Station- Kalamchera, destroyed approx. 25,000 immature Ganja saplings by cutting, Uprooting & burning, which were cultivated in 05 different fields covering approx. 02 hector of forest land of Sub Division- Sonamura, PS- Kalamchera, District- Sepahijala.
