BSF Tripura while neutralizing the ill designs of Trans-border Narcotics / Drug smugglers is regularly conducting ‘Special Anti-Narcotics Drives’ in the State.On intervening night of 17/18 July 2021, BSF troops foiled smuggling bids & seized “1,112 Nos Yaba Tablets, 37.5 Kgs Ganja, 0.26 Gms Brown Sugar along with 07 Nos Cattle and other contraband items having total value Rs. 10,00,567/- and apprehended 02 drug peddlers. In a separate operation, the troops also neutralized exfiltration attempt by apprehending 02 Bangladeshi Nationals”.
On 17thJuly 2021, acting on a specific Intelligence input,the BSF troops of Border Out Post- Oscar Det(20 Bn BSF) conducteda special operation andintercepted two suspectsapproaching IBB Fence Gate on Motorcycle in general area Kailashshar, Unakoti. The suspects revealed their identity as AtaurRahaman (Age 35 years) S/o Hazi Ambar Ali &Yasin Ali S/o Hamid Miah, both residents of Vill- Ravindranagar Babur Bazar, Kailashahar, Unakoti. During thorough search, BSF party recovered ‘392 Nos Yaba Tablets & 0.26 Gms Brown Sugar’. An FIR has been lodged and the apprehended persons along with seized items have been handed over to PS- Kailashahar for further legal action.
On same night, based on specific information, vigilant troops of Border Out Post- Srimantapur(133 Bn BSF) seized ‘720 Nos Yaba Tablets & 3.5 Kgs Ganja’ in general area under PS- Sonamura, Sub Division- Sonamura, Distt- Sepahijala, Tripura. Similarly, alert Praharis of Border Out Post- New Nidaya(130 Bn BSF) seized 20 Kgs Ganja in general area under PS- Jatrapur, Sub Division- Sonamura, Distt- Sepahijala, Tripura.
Further, vigilant troops of Border Out Post- Sarasima (200 Bn BSF) apprehended 02 Bangladeshi Nationals namely Mansoor Ahamed @ Reyat (20 yrs) S/o Manir Hussain R/o Vill- Baburkuma, PO & PS- Parshuram, Distt- Feni and Moinur Hossain Rana (34 yrs) S/o Abdul Khalik R/o Vill- Alayarpur, PO & PS- Daganbuhia, Distt- Feni, who were trying to exfiltrate from India to Bangladesh. An FIR has been lodged and apprehended BD nationals along with seized items handed over to PS- Belonia, Sub Div –Belonia, Dist – South Tripura for further legal action.
