Agartala, 7th of July, 2024 : With the initiative of Indian Medical Association (IMA) Tripura State Branch blood donation camp has been conducted at IMA house, Agartala on Sunday (7th July, 2024). The Blood Donation programme was inaugurated by lighting the lamp by Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha and other dignitaries.
Addressing the blood donation camp, Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha said, Doctors don’t just provide medical services. Doctors also have a role in social work. Indian Medical Association is an old organization of doctors. This organization is involved in various issues related to the interest of doctors as well as various social service activities. The doctors that they should work for people besides fulfilling their professional duties. Only then can the fulfillment of career and the meaning of human life be found. The Chief Minister congratulated the entrepreneurs for organizing the blood donation camp. He visited blood donation camps and encouraged blood donors. Certificates are issued to blood donors by the organization. The Chief Minister handed over the certificates to the blood donors.
Dr. Sanjib Debbarma delivered the welcome speech on the occasion. A total of 42 blood donors donated blood in the camp. Indian Medical Association, president of State branch S. M. Ali, Dr. Basab Ghosh and many other dignitaries were present in the programme.
