With the initiative of Animal Resources Development Department pigs have been distributed here in Ampinagar veterinary hospital premises in Gomati Tripura today (18th August, 2022). As per the report, total 9 beneficiaries have availed pigs from the concerned department. Under the scheme of ADC the poor beneficiaries have got this scheme benefit from the department. Sources said that as per the scheme category 8 beneficiaries have got a single pig and 1 beneficiary got total 3 pigs including their feeds.
Aiming to generate family financial stability of the poor beneficiaries the concerned department has distributed these pigs to these villagers including essential tips for the piggery management. The TIPRA Motha local leaders have taken participation in this pig distribution programme. Ampi sub-zonal chairman Deb Sadhan Jamatia, district committee secretary Birodhan Noatia, veterinary centre in-charge Lampra Debbarma and many others were present in the programme.
