Agartala, Tripura, 28th of January, 2025 : The ICFAI University host “TARANG UTSAV”, the 38 AIU Inter University North East Zone Youth Festival in collaboration with the Association of Indian Universities from 27th January to 31 January 2025. The festival officially started on 27 January morning with the Managers meet and flagging off a cultural procession by Sri Tinku Roy, Minister of Youth Affairs & Sports, Social Welfare & Social Education Government of Tripura as Chief Guest and other dignitaries like Observer, Technical Observer and Jury Members from Association of Indian Universities.
Prof (Dr.) Biplab Halder Vice Chancellor welcomed the vibrant and talented gathering of the 38th AIU Inter-University North-East Zone Youth Festival, “Tarang Utsav” and expressed his gratitude to the Association of Indian Universities for giving such a platform to this University for hosting the festival. Hon’ble Minister Shri Tinku Roy encouraged Students & participants with his valuable thoughts in the making of the future of the Nation. He emphasized on all the schemes and plans of prime Minister of India to make India as Vikahit Bharat through the Youths. He expressed his happiness and pride about the overwhelming achievement of the North East youths in the cultural and sports field. A beautiful cultural procession from different Universities, showing the unity in the diversity and versatile talents of North East was the centre on attraction of the opening program which took a grand look in the stage before the Jury members.
The Inaugural session started at 4.00 PM inaugurated in presence of a galaxy of high profile dignitaries where Hon’ble Governor Sri Nallu Indrasena Reddy whois also theVisitor of the ICFAI University Tripura presided as Chief Guest, Smt. Mamta R. Agarwal, Additional Secretary, Associations of Indian Universities (ATU) as Special Guest, and other dignitaries like Observer, Technical Observer and Jury Members from Association of Indian Universities as Guest of Honour along with the Vice Chancellor Prof (Dr.) Biplab Halder and Dr. A Ranganath, Registrar of the ICFAI University Tripura. Dr. Deepak Mishra, the Technical Observer-AIU informed on his speech that the festival already makes a history of maximum numbers of participation and expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the ICFAI University Tripura for the credit. While addressing to the gathering, Dr. Bala Lakhendra, Observer-AIU urged that the vibrant North-East youths have the necessary creativeness and skills to fulfil the vision of Vikshit Bharat 2047. The Special Guest, Smt. Dr. Mamta Rani Agarwal, Additional Secretary of AIU explained the significance of ‘Bharat’ is the combination of Vab-Rag & Tal that is the thought, rhythm & melody of diverse culture. Honourable Governor on his address as Chief Guest praised the ICFAI University Tripura for conducting such Youth Festival through the youth’s participation from across the north-east, the mini India and promoting various cultural beritage. He advised the youth to come forward and work hard for next 25 years to make India Vikshit by 2047.
Over 802 anthusiastic students from 22 numbers of Universities from North-East India have takenpart in 28 different avants like Music, Dance, Drama, Theatre, Fine Arts, Literary etc. The Youth festival is the platform of an incredible ceremony of showcasing talent and the spirit of unity through their skills and creativity. The inauguration program anded with the vote of thanks delivered by Dr. A Ranganath, Registrar of the University and he expressed his heartiest thanks to all concerns for the successful complation of the program.
