Agartala, Tripura, 10th of December, 2024 : In a significant move aimed at supporting local farmers, Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Ratan Lal Nath inaugurated the distribution of agricultural products at the Mohanpur block office premises yesterday. The program, organized by the Mohanpur Agricultural Sub-Divisional Office in collaboration with the Agricultural Science Center of Dhalai District, saw the distribution of potato seeds, various vegetable seeds, and modern agricultural machinery to farmers.
Minister Nath highlighted the importance of the welfare of farmers, stating that both the central and state governments are implementing various schemes to ensure their development. “If the village is strong and financially self-sufficient, the country will prosper,” said The Minister, emphasizing the vital link between agricultural growth and national prosperity. He also noted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given the highest priority to the development of agriculture and farmers in the country. with several initiatives already underway. In his address, Minister Nath urged the farmers to adopt scientific farming practices to maximize their productivity. enabling them to produce more crops with less land. His message was echoed by Dr. Abhijit Debnath and Dr. Ratan Das, senior scientists from the Agricultural Science Center of Dhalai and Unakoti, who provided valuable advice on soil health management and modern farming techniques.
