Agartala, 18th of July, 2024 : With the initiative of Agartala Press Club and Sports Committee Inter Sub-Divisional Press Club Football Tournament is going to be held July 20, 2024. The Inter Sub-Divisional Press Club Football Tournament will be held at the Kshudiram Basu English Medium School ground to the old jail premises. Today, (18th July, 2024) at twelve o’clock in a press conference organized in the conference hall of Agartala Press Club, Jayanta Bhattacharjee President of Agartala Press Club announced the names of the players of the two teams of Agartala Press Club and the detailed of the tournament was presented by Alok Ghosh, Chairman of Sports Sub Committee.
A total of seven Sub-division press clubs are participating in the tournament. As per the announced sports schedule, the opening match will be between Agartala Press Club B Team vs Khowai Press Club. Agartala Press Club Sports Committee convenor Abhishek Dey and Joint Secretary of the Press Club, said that State Youth Affairs & Sports, Social Welfare & Social Education Minister Tinku Roy and other guests will be present at the opening ceremony at Kshudiram Basu English Medium School in Agartala at 10 am.
Tournament sponsor Abhijit Saha, CEO of Swapnoneer Realtors and sports committee member and Senior journalist Suprabhat Debnath were also present at the press conference. The presents guests officially presented the jerseys to the players of the two teams. The chairman and convener called upon all concerned to make the match a success by the players of both the teams appearing on the field on time.
