Khowai, Tripura, 26th of August, 2024 : A fisherman caught a stolen bike while fishing in the Khowai river. It was recovered in the water of Khowai River, Lalchara Dashami Ghat area under Khowai District around 12:30 on Monday (26th August, 2024). The owner of the bike is Pradip Debnath Subhash Park Kalibari area, Khowai. According to the details of the incident, a group of Bangladeshi thieves attacked the house of Pradip Debnath, a resident of Subhash Park Kalibari area, yesterday night around 2:30 to 2:30 and broke the door of his house and stole two bikes.
Across the Khowai River is Bangladesh. The thieves could enter Bangladesh only if they could cross the river. But after being chased by the BSF, the gang of thieves left the two bikes in the water of the river Khowai. Today at noon, a fisherman caught a bike in the net when he went fishing at that place. At the end, some youths of the area got into the water and rescued the bike and brought it to the river bank. And youths of the area went into the water to search for the second bike. Meanwhile, the police and the owner of the bike rushed to the river bank after getting the news. The police took the bike to the police station after completing the initial investigation. Almost every day, gangs of Bangladeshi thugs cross the border and attack Khowai town and its surrounding villages. On Monday, intense excitement spread around the bike rescue incident in the concerned area.
