A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between the Tripura Government, Inland Waterways Authority of India (IWAI) and Land Ports Authority of India (LPAI) on Tuesday (15th February, 2022) for development and maintenance of an Inland Water Transport (IWT) Terminal at Srimantapur near Sonamura, Tripura. Hon’ble Union Ports, Shipping, Waterways and Ayush Minister Sarbananda Sonowal, Hon’ble Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb, Hon’ble Agriculture, Transport & Tourism Minister Pranajit Singha Roy, other officials and dignitaries were present in the MoU signing programme at the state guest house, Agartala.
