Khowai, Tripura, 18th of November, 2024 : Ever since the internal fiery situation in Bangladesh, Bangladeshi cattle thieves have been crossing the border every night, attacking various places in the city and rural areas and committing thefts. A group of Bangladeshi Cattle thieves have stolen about a hundred cows from Khowai sub-division in the last one month.
A group of 10-12 Bangladeshi Cattle thieves with sharp weapons attacked the houses of several people with the intention of stealing cows in Paharmura Madhyapara, a border village of Khowai, Sunday (17th November, 2024) night. According to the information received, late on Sunday night, when Dilip Biswas, a resident of Paharmura Madhyapara broke the lock of the cowshed of his house, he came out of the house empty-handed when he realized the incident. Sensing the presence of the thief in the house, he immediately entered the house.
He called several of his brothers and relatives and told the incident. Dilip Biswas’ younger brother Ranjit Biswas and others rushed to his house after hearing that a group of armed Cattle thieves had entered his house. Ranjit Biswas came across a Bangladeshi Cattle thieves on his way to his brother Dilip Biswas’ house along a lane. At that time, when a group of Bangladeshi Cattle thieves attacked Ranjit Biswas with sharp knives, one of his fingers on his left hand was cut off and fell into pieces. After the incident, a group of Bangladeshi Cattle thieves ran past a neighboring brick kiln and crossed the border to escape in front of the BSF. According to the sources, seriously injured Ranjit Biswas (35) was brought to Khowai District Hospital. The doctor on duty referred them to Agartala GB Hospital for better treatment. This incident created intense anger against the local BSF across the area.
