Agartala, Tripura, 9th of November, 2024 : With the initiative of Youth Affairs and Sports Department Government of Tripura West Tripura District Level Youth Festival and Science Fair organized in Baidyanath Majumder Auditorium & Training Center in Gandhigram, Bamutia on Saturday (9th November, 2024). In the presence of many dignitaries Hon’ble Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs, Transport and Tourism minister Sushanta Chowdhury inaugurated the event by lighting the lamp.
Hon’ble Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs, Transport and Tourism minister Sushanta Chowdhury addressing the inauguration ceremony said that Youth has an important role to play in building a healthy society. The youth also take the leading role in the movement of change in the society. The youth festival works as an inspiration to inspire the youth in the field of sports and culture. Therefore, the Central and State Governments are working on various schemes for the development of youth power. He also added that only traditional religious education cannot build a person’s life properly. On the occasion, the tourism minister wished the success of the district-based youth festival.
Director of Sports and Youth Affairs of Tripura State S.B Nath delivered the welcome speech on the occasion. Hon’ble Deputy Speaker of Tripura Legislative Assembly Ram Prasad Paul, Hon’ble Mayor of Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC) and MLA Dipak Majumder, Balai Goswami, Sabhadhipati West Tripura Zilla Parishad, Bamutia Panchayat Samiti Chairman Dipak Sinha and many other dignitaries were present in the programme.
