Amarpur, Tripura, 4th of November 2024 : With the initiative of Taidu Football Committee Gouranga Debbarma Memorial Football Tournament series 2024 has been accomplished on Sunday (3rd November, 2024) with great enthusiasm and excitement here in Taidu Higher Secondary School playground under Ampi Nagar block, Gomati Tripura. Following the motto, ‘Say Yes To Life & Say No To Drugs’ and ‘Don’t Lose Your Life, Stay Away From HIV’ the series has motivated much the youngsters of the society. The tournament series had been initiated from 28th of September 2024 and total 25 matches have been played among 14 teams. Today it was final match competition played between 41 Ampi Contractor Association Vs SA Production team in which 41 Ampi Contractor Association has obtained the championship credit defeating SA Production team.
Champion team score was 5 goals where SA Production team achieved 3 goals. EM Suhel Debbarma, TTAADC has handed over the winner prize Rs. 50000 along with championship trophy to the champion team and 41 Ampi constituency MLA Pathanlal Jamatia has presented Rs. 20000 including trophy to the runner up team. The tournament series was quite excited and joyous for the spectators. Thousands of people have enjoyed the series. Local people have applauded the initiative of Taidu Football Committee and thanked them for their appreciable youth inspiring contribution.
