Agartala, Tripura, 23rd of October, 2024 : With the aim to explore and understand the rich natural and cultural heritages of Tripura and development dynamics in the state, a team of 14 journalists from Chhattisgarh are on tour to the state. The media team, after arriving at Agartala on Tuesday, visited Integrated Check Post (ICP) at Agartala under the Land Port Authority of India. They also visited the Tripura Tourism Corporation and gathered knowledge of tourism potentials, future plans and status of tourist inflow in the state.
The team has visited the most important religious destination and one of the 51 Puranic Place Tripureswari Temple, the ongoing development project under the central PRASAD scheme around the temple. They visited today the ICP at Srimantapur under Sepahijala district to study the importance of the ICP in terms of trade and passenger movement. The team has held interactions with the officials of the concerned department and organisations including the security officials of the Border Security Force (BSF).
The media team will visit the Ujjayanta Palace, industrial estate at Bodhjungnagar and projects under the National Bamboo Mission tomorrow. They are scheduled to visit several developmental and industrial projects of the state and central governments including the Smart City project, plants of OTPC, ONGC, Rubber Board’s plantation and Bio Village.
During the media tour, organized by the Press Information Bureau, the visiting journalists from Chhattisgarh would also have interactive meetings with officials from the department of Industries, Health, Urban Department and central organistions such as LPAI, ONGC, OTPC, BSF, Rubber Board etc.
