Khowai, 26th of July, 2024 : A police constable was involved in an accident while under the influence of alcohol. The name of constable involved in the accident is Jiten Kumar Debbbarma. His house is in Parshurambari area under Champahour police station. He is working at Baijalbari outpost in Khowai. According to the details of the incident, around 12 o’clock last night, started driving his bike from Baijalbari to home. On his way home, he lost control and fell off the bike at Sepaihaour area and was seriously injured. After receiving the information, the fire service personnel arrived on the spot, picked up them in bloody condition and brought him to Khowai District Hospital.
According to the information received, he serious injuries on his head and various parts of his body. When the incident of police constable’s drunken accident spread among the public, there was a strong reaction in the public mind. Common people’s questions Police used equipment to harass common people after evening if they drank alcohol on the street and burnt the lockup. But a constable of the police had an accident after drinking alcohol. There is no provision of punishment against him.
