Agartala, 6th of July 2024 : Enormous changes are being witnessed in the health sector of the state. due to technological development the state’s health service sector has developed a lot, stated the chief minister Dr. Manik Saha today at Pragna Bhavan after inaugurating the state-level workshop for dental surgeons working in the state. On the occasion the chief minister also launched the website of Tripura State Dental Council, Agartala Government Dental College and IGM Hospital. At the same time he also launched the tele-medicine service of the Agartala Government Dental College through e-Sanjeevani. At the programme the chief minister spoke to the patients and doctors as well as part of tele-medicine service.
The Chief Minister said, a man builds his own identity through his work. That is why the medical professionals should work with the best of their ability in their respective work places. He said, treatment of dental issues has developed a lot in the state and Agartala Government Dental College is well equipped to provide necessary services. Experts whoever have visited this dental college have appreciated it. He urged the concerned functionaries to perform their role in a way that it becomes the best college in the Northeast in its own field. Due to introduction of tele-medicine service in Agartala Government Medical College patients will easily get treatment. The DONER ministry has sanctioned an amount of Rs. 202 crore for the infrastructural development of this college. He also said, Dental Council has been constituted in the state. In the coming days students do not have to go outside the state for studying BDS. The government is also making efforts to facilitate MDS course within the state.
The chief minister also said, nine Super Specialty sections have been opened in Agartala Government Medical College. Towards the development of infrastructure of health sector the state government has been implementing Ayushman Bharat PM Jan Arogya Yojana and Mukyamantri Jan Arogya Yojana. Over 4 lakh people not covered under Ayushman Bharat scheme have been covered under the Mukyamanti Jan Arogya Yojana. The benefits of this scheme are available in different government hospitals like GB Hospital. Benefits of the scheme will also be made available in ILS and TMC.
Among other who spoke on the occasion are additional secretary of health and family welfare Dr. Brahmit Kaur, director of health Dr. Sanjib Debbarma, principal of Agartala Government Dental College Dr. Shalu Roy, and president of Tripura State Dental Council Dr. Samir Ranjan Datta Chowdhury. Welcome address was delivered by the state nodal officer of National Oral Health Programme Dr. Rajesh Anil Acharya. Vote of thanks was given by the secretary of the Indian Dental Association, Tripura branch Dr. Sujit Roy. The programme was also attended by the mission director of NHM, Tripura branch Rajib Datta, director of health and family welfare Dr. Anjan Das, director of medical education Prof. Dr. H.P Sharma.
