Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Dev Varma inaugurates of newly constructed 33 KV Sub-Station at Gabardi along with Golagati MLA Birendra Kishore Debbarma on Friday 30th July, 2021.
The construction work started in October 2018. The project comes under the scheme of NER Power System Improvement Project (NERPSIP) funded by the Government of India and the World Bank.
This 33/11 KV, 2 x 5 MVA Sub-Station at Gabardi has been constructed to provide steady and quality power supply in Gabardi and its adjoining areas. The newly constructed 33 KV sub-station has been connected by 33 KV line (Loop-in Loop-out) from existing Surjamaninagar – Takarjala 33 KV feeder which will adequately meet up present load of 1.2 MW with corresponding future load growth of the area and will benefit around 5,327 consumers with improved voltage profile and enhanced power system reliability at the following areas: Gabardi, Jarulbachai , Sreenagar, Shyamnagar, Prabhapur , Teilorbon, J.K. Nagar etc.
