BSF TRIPURA SEIZED HUGE QUANTITY OF NARCOTICS / CONTRABAND.

On intervening night of 18/19 June 2021, Vigilant troops of 74 Bn BSF foiled trans-border smuggling bids on Indo-Bangladesh International Border and successfully seized the following narcotics and contraband articles having combined value of Rs. 11,82,000/- :

1. 01 Mahindra Bolero Maxi Truck (TR 01 X 1559) worth Rs.  3,50,000/-, loaded with 3350 Kgs Mattar dal worth Rs. 3,35,000/-. Total seizure value Rs. 6,85,000/-in area of responsibility of Border Out Post Konaban, Police Station- Madhupur, Sub Division- Bishalgarh, District- Sepahijala.
2. 30 Nos Cattle heads worth Rs. 2,88,000/- in area of responsibility of Border Out Post Kamthana, Police Station- Madhupur, Sub Division- Bishalgarh, District- Sepahijala.
3. 260 Nos Yaba tablets worth Rs. 1,30,000/- in area of responsibility of Border Out Post Boxanagar, Police Station- Kalamchera, Sub Division- Sonamura, District- Sepahijala.
4. 01 Bajaj Pulsar Motorcycle (without number plate) worth Rs. 79,000/-in area of responsibility of Border Out Post Anandpur, Police Station- Sonamura, Sub Division- Sonamura, District- Sepahijala.

Besides above, during same night, the following seizures were affected the following seizures by the alert BSF troops on Indo-Bangladesh International Border :

1. Troops of 133 Bn BSF foiled trans-border smuggling bids and successfully seized 11 Kgs Dry Ganja worth Rs. 55,000/-,23 Btls Whisky worth Rs. 13,270/- and assorted contraband items worth Rs. 17.342/-. Total seizure value Rs. 85,612/- in area of responsibility of Border Out Post N C Nagar, Police Station- Sonamura, Sub Division- Sonamura, District- Sepahijala.
2. Troops of 80 Bn BSF foiled trans-border smuggling bid and successfully seized 17 Kgs Ganja worth Rs. 85,000/-in area of responsibility of Border Out Post Belchera, Police Station- Khowai, Sub Division- Khowai, District- Khowai.
3. Troops of 200 Bn BSF foiled trans-border smuggling bid and successfully seized 80 Kgs Iron Nails worth Rs. 10,000/- in area of responsibility of Border Out Post Sarasima, Police Station- Belonia, Sub Division- Belonia, District- Tripura South.
