“Tripura is moving towards peace and development. The benefits of the double engine Government that has been established in the State have reached everywhere”, Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi said this while inaugurating three projects, laying foundation stone of two projects and Griha Pravesh ceremony of over 2 lakh beneficiaries under Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana. The hope that the speed of development will increase in the coming days with the joint efforts of all, the Prime Minister said that the Central Government is giving thousands of crores of rupees for the development of Tripura. The State Government is implementing them properly.

As per the report, 1,51,019 beneficiaries Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana Rural Scheme and 54,526 beneficiaries of Urban Scheme have entered their homes holding hands of the Prime Minister. The Prime Minister today inaugurated the State Institute of Hotel Management at Anandanagar, Agartala, Government Dental College and Agartala Bypass (Khayerpur- Amtali) widening of National Highway-8 in virtually. He also laid the foundation stone of 32 roads of 232 kms under PMGSY-III and 542 kms 112 road projects (State and District Roads). In all, today the Prime Minister inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of over 4,300 crore development projects.

On the occasion, the Prime Minister said that Tripura’s development journey has reached a new level. Congratulating the people of the State for the projects of communication, skill development, new housing for the poor which were inaugurated and foundation laid today, the Prime Minister said Tripura’s first dental college is being opened. The students of this state will get the benefit of this. They will get a golden opportunity to become a doctor from this State.

The Prime Minister said that optical fiber has reached many panchayats in Tripura after the establishment of the double engine Government in the State. Not only digitization but also infrastructure development has been given special importance. Central and State Governments have taken special initiatives to make medical facilities accessible to people of all sections. Ayushman Bharat Yojana has established more than seven thousand health and wellness centers in North Eastern states. Out of this more than one thousand centers have been set up in Tripura alone. It benefits people suffering from various diseases like diabetes, cancer. Under the Ayushman Bharat Yojana, people from many poor parts of Tripura have been given access to free medical treatment up to Rs 5 lakh.

Hon’ble Chief Minister Manik Saha said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of a bunch of projects for the state in this historic public meeting today. As a result, today is surely a day of joy for the people of the state. The Central Government under the leadership of the Prime Minister has provided many things to the state including communication facilities, houses. The construction of 6 national highways is underway in the state with the help of the central government and an allocation of 10,222 crore rupees has been received for the construction of 7 more national highways. Apart from this, allocation for construction of 4 ropeways has also been received in the state. The Chief Minister said that due to the sincere initiative of the present central government, the railway communication in the state has improved greatly.
