Hon’ble Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari reviewed the progress of National Highways development projects in North Eastern States was held in Guwahati on Friday (11th November, 2022).
As per the report, Hon’ble Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari announced approval of 7 new projects for Tripura. He also mentioned the sanction of 10,222 crore rupees to the state for this.
The seven new projects approved include : 1. Churaibari-Agartala NH-08 (171 km) four lanes (3,233 crore rupees), 2. Western and Eastern sections of Agartala Bypass (35 km) (3,161 crore rupees), 3. Khowai-Teliamura-Amarpur-Harina NH 208 (2,421 crore rupees), 4. Four lanes of Udaipur-Shrimantapur road (34 km) (480 crore rupees), 5, Four rapway projects (Maharani- Chabimura, Udaipur railway station to Tripura Sundari Temple, Jampui Hills, Surmacherra in Kamalpur) (692 crore rupees), 6. Three railway overhead bridges (35 crore rupees) and 7. Construction of cement concrete roads in urban areas (200 crore rupees).
Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha, Minister of State for Road Transport and Highways General (Dr.) V.K. Singh, Principal Secretary of Revenue Department, Ministry of Road Transport and Highways and Government of India, National Senior Officials of Highway Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited were attended the meeting.
