In order to follow the orders of the Department of Official Language, Government of India, Ministry of Home Affairs and to create an encouraging environment for the implementation of Official Language Policy, ‘Hindi Month’ was celebrated from September 01 to 30, 2022 at Frontier Headquarters, BSF Salbagan, Tripura, Hindi Pakhwada’ from 14 to 29 September 2022 , and ‘Rajbhasha Hindi Samaroh’ on 29th September, 2022 was organized with energy, enthusiasm and gaiety. Inspector (Hindi Translator) on September 16, 2022 with a view to sensitize the employees working in the office during the ‘Hindi Pakhwada’ the official language policy of the Government and to remove the difficulties faced by them in working in Hindi. ‘Hindi Workshop’ was organized, in which 30 personnel from different branches of Headquarters participated and benefited. Apart from this, Hindi Poetry Goshthi / Poetry Path and various competitions on Hindi were also organized on 14th, 19th and 20th September, 2022 with the aim of inculcating interest towards Hindi among the employees of the Headquarters.
Presiding over the ‘Rajbhasha Hindi Samaroh’ organized on 29th September, 2022, the Deputy Inspector General/Principal Staff Officer, BSF Salbagan, Tripura said that it is important to unite the citizens of a vast and multi-lingual country like India and to create a link between the language. The official language Hindi has been doing very important work of connecting the whole country in the form. Language is the most powerful medium to express emotion. The overall development of any country is possible only when its residents contemplate and write in their own mother tongue. Mother tongue is the best medium of knowledge and expressions. Answers to many complex questions of today’s era are hidden in the ancient knowledge of a culturally rich country like India and this knowledge has an important place in the development of 21st century India.
Therefore, I request all of you to take pride in doing government work in Hindi and adopt a tendency to work in Hindi by creating a positive thinking and encouraging environment to increase the use of Hindi in government work. He appealed to all the officers of the Headquarters that they themselves should take the initiative to do government work in Hindi and also motivate and encourage their subordinate personnel to work in Hindi.
The Deputy Inspector General BSF (Principal Staff Officer) also apprised that scientists have also accepted that Hindi is a scientific language, it is very easy to express the sounds to be pronounced in Hindi. Hindi is written as it is spoken, and keeping in mind these characteristics and popularity of Hindi, the Constituent Assembly of India, after serious deliberations, by mutual consent, granted Hindi the status of the official language of the Union of India .The relevant constitutional provisions were adopted on the day i.e. 14th September, 1949. On this occasion, we celebrate 14 September every year as ‘Hindi Diwas’. For the first time in 1953, ‘Hindi Divas’ was organized, since then this process has continued uninterrupted. 77 percent of the people of the country write, read, speak and understand Hindi. Hindi is also a part of their work. Hindi is the fourth most spoken language in the whole world. Therefore, every year this day is celebrated all over the country to tell the importance of Hindi and to promote it.
During the year 2021-22, 10 winning participants under the scheme to encourage employees to do official work in Hindi and 15 winning contestants of various Hindi competitions organized during ‘Hindi Pakhwada’ were awarded by Deputy Inspector General, (Principal Staff Officer), BSF, Tripura during ‘Rajbhasha Hindi Samaroh’ and government work for the year 2021-22.
The ‘Rajbhasha Shield’ was awarded to ‘Frontier Headquarters, BSF, Tripura’ and secured first position. ‘Sector Headquarters, BSF, Gokulnagar, Tripura with the maximum usage of Hindi language.
The ‘Rajbhasha Pratigya’ received from the Ministry of Home Affairs was administered to all the personnel present by the Deputy Inspector General BSF (Principal Staff Officer) and the ‘Appeal’ issued by the Shri Pankaj Kumar, IPS, Director General, BSF was read by the Deputy Inspector General (Communications)and at the end of the program, the Deputy Inspector General BSF (Principal Staff Officer) made this call while congratulating all the officers/personnel for winning the ‘BSF Official Language Shield’ by Frontier Headquarters, BSF Salbagan, Tripura by securing the ‘First’ position in the entire Border Security Force. That “Let us all take an oath that we will fulfill our national duties fully and discharge our constitutional obligations by doing maximum basic work in official language Hindi.” Before the conclusion of ‘Rajbhasha Hindi Samaroh’, by the official language officer.
